Shotlist is a private tool a small animation studio uses to make videos for its clients. This page explains what data Shotlist handles and why.
Google account data
Shotlist connects to one Google account only: the studio owner's. It asks for the Google Drive "drive.file" permission, so it can see only the files it has created itself. It can't see, read or change any other file in that Drive.
Shotlist uses this access only to:
- save the voiceovers clients upload, and the finished videos, in a "Shotlist" folder in the owner's Drive;
- read those same files back to make and deliver the videos.
The Google sign-in keys are stored only on the studio's own computers. They are never shared or sold.
Shotlist's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Client data
For each client the studio keeps a name, an email address for "your video is ready" messages, the voiceovers and notes they send, and the videos made for them. This data is used only to make and deliver their videos and to keep track of what they've been billed.
- No data is sold, rented or used for advertising.
- No data is shared, except with the services that run the tool: hosting, the database, email delivery and Google Drive.
- A client can ask the studio to delete their data at any time.
Contact
For questions or deletion requests, contact the studio owner through the email address shown on the app's Google sign-in screen, or through the channel you use to order videos.
